Here is a pic from our last supper with Meriel in San Diego...well, hopefully not "last". Meriel and Karianne were our best buddies when we all lived in Ortigia, Sicily back in 2004. Mert and Kart moved here a few years ago to live it up in SD. Now Mert is movin' back to Montana for now, and possibly Seattle or Portland on down the road. We all got together to say goodbye as well as Happy Birthday to Karianne - big 26 - woo hoo! I feel so old next to these children! :) Anyway, this pic is pretty pathetic. I guess we all thought the camera was aimed really low. (left to right: Meriel, Scott (Kari's boyfriend), Kari, me and Jare....good times were had by all. Miss you Mert!
