Here are some pics from the summer just to update you on the goings-on around here.
Here's a great shot of our dog, Gatsby, looking completely nonplused by the "terrible" life that he leads...that is being the "toy" of a two year old boy! ;) He loves it, but, I think, is sometimes exhausted by it all.
This next shot is Judah at the San Diego Zoo playing with a bunch of other kids...he's trying out hula hoops for the first time. Cutie guy!!
This is Judah and his friend...yup....Judah. Two Judah's! How cute is it that they are holding hands! This was our last trip to the Wild Animal Park with Judah Lauri. They've been buddies since our Judah was born. Chris and Heather - Judah's mom and dad - had to move back to Idaho. We are so very bummed, but know that is where God has them! We're going to miss you guys!!
Chris, Heather and Judah at their goodbye party...
No summer is complete without a wedding or two! This is Jenny Anderson's wedding! Jenny is one of Jared's oldest friends! She got married this summer to Danny in Santa Barbara at Alice Keck Park and it was BEAUTIFUL!
We got to take Judah to the Fire Expo at Qualcomm Stadium a few weeks ago. He was in little boy heaven!!
This year has been a year of goodbyes for us, unfortunately! A lot of our friends have moved away, and consequently a lot of Judah's little buddies as well. Matt and Lindsey have been such a Godsend to us this past year. We've only known them a year or so, but they have meant so much to us in such a small amount of time. They have moved to Charlotte, NC for a better job and cheaper digs! Can't blame 'em. But, we're pretty bummed. This shot is not so great since Sam isn't looking and Aidan isn't even in the picture, but our camera went dead right after this shot and this is all we got. We miss you guys!!
And, in homage to Jared's ongoing midlife crisis that began when he was about....oh....21 or so and is continuing on now that he just turned 28 - here is his midlife crisis dream car - the Suzuki Samurai, or Sammy as he is affectionately referred to by Jared. He took Sammy fourwheeling up Nate Harrison Grade to the top of Palomar Mountain. Can't beat the scenery around here!
Well, we will let you know for sure that she is a girl in a couple of weeks. But, fairly certain that she is...just a feeling I have!!
love you guys!

AHHH!! Congrats!! For some reason, as soon as I found out you were pregnant I thought it would be a girl! Congrats guys! I love and miss you all!
XOXO,
Jen
Awww congrats Kim!! There is no doubt that girls are an entirely different breed to raise, but they are sweeeeet! Post a pic of you! We want to see your pretty smile and the belly!
Jered, you don't know off roading until you've taken on Nate Harrison in a 2004 Hyundai!
And congratulations on it (possibly) being a girl! We thought our first was going to be a girl up to the 8th month, then our little "Rose" turned out to be a "Samuel."
Be careful there with that Samurai, they have a reputation for rolling over.
Glad things are going well. Don't forget, if you come back to Georgia to visit let me know so I can take you all out to dinner.
